About Us

Lalaine

My first Lenny-Love was Lenny Briscoe from Law and Order. In fact I call the show itself Lenny: "Ooooh it's 9:50. Ten minutes to Lenny!? or "Oh my God, did you see Lenny last night? It was really good!" Now that I am older and wiser, I can step back and perceive how my Lenny is only one of the threads in the tapestry of Lenny-Land.

The scholarly discourses that I have had with Margaret and other Lenny fans as well as much introspection and soul-searching have greatly contributed to the quest to find my own inner Lenny. Like with most of you, the struggle is challenging yet rewarding, and I derive a great deal of comfort from the shared experiences of others who persist in the search for a personal Lenny.

Well, I hadn't really planned on making a Lenny web site until I met Lalaine. I had made other sites before, but they were pretty cut and dry--nothing as exciting as this! My obsession with Lenny really arose when I started to go to Lenny's Cafe in New York. Lalaine and I commented on the fact that we could think of several Lenny's. There was Lenny's Cafe, Lenny Briscoe, Lenny on The Simpson. And the ball just started rolling from there. People must think this site is pretty strange, but it's in keeping with my whimsical, sarcastic, and often absurdist sense of humor. Because, you know, it's all about finding the inner Lenny-ness, which is what I strive to do each and every day. And the site helps. It reminds me of my need to connect with that part of myself.
